Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Fight My Corner ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights under UK GDPR.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at team@fightmycorner.org.
1. Data we collect
Fight My Corner collects only the data needed to generate your dispute letter and provide the service. This includes:
- →Your name and email address — used to deliver your letter, communicate about your order, and (if you create an account) to manage your account.
- →Dispute details — the nature of your dispute, the company name, supporting facts, incident date, and desired outcome. This is the information you provide when generating a letter.
- →Company information — we research the company you name (via Companies House and their public website) to find their complaints policy and relevant obligations. This research is used solely to generate your letter.
- →Payment information — payments are processed by our platform provider. Fight My Corner does not store your card details.
2. How we use your data
- →Letter generation only — your dispute details are used exclusively to generate your dispute letter. They are not used for any other purpose.
- →Not sold — we do not sell your personal data to any third party.
- →Not shared with third parties — your dispute details are not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. We do not use your data for advertising.
- →Service communications — we may email you to deliver your letter, confirm your purchase, or respond to support requests. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
3. Data retention
- →Dispute data — deleted or anonymised 90 days after the session or case is closed.
- →Account data — retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing team@fightmycorner.org.
- →Purchase records — retained for up to 7 years for accounting and legal purposes, in line with HMRC requirements.
4. Cookies
Fight My Corner uses only functional cookies — session cookies and authentication tokens required for the service to work. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
5. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- →Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- →Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
- →Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data.
- →Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data.
- →Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email team@fightmycorner.org. We will respond within 30 days.
6. ICO registration
Fight My Corner is registered with (or intends to register with) the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller. If you are dissatisfied with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
